The Empire Strikes Out DVD!


last year’s LEGO Star Wars special, The Empire Strikes out, will be released on dvd March 26! The trailer shows a mini-fig with the dvd.

Who would have thought blowing up the Death Star would come with consequences? It seems that while Jedi-in-training Luke Skywalker attempts to embark on his next mission, he discovers that his new celebrity status can be a double-edged lightsaber when he’s constantly mobbed by fans in LEGO Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out. Available on DVD March 26th.

After a record-breaking debut on Cartoon Network, The LEGO Group and Lucasfilm announced today that LEGO Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out is coming to DVD on March 26, 2013. The 22-minute original standalone special will bring the same tongue-in-cheek humor fans know and love in a brand new epic adventure featuring everyone’s favorite LEGO Star Wars characters. Distributed by Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, the DVD will include an exclusive collectible Darth Vader LEGO mini-figure and is available now for pre-order at http://www.foxconnect.com/awesome.

In LEGO Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out, the original Death Star has just been destroyed, but Luke, Han, Chewie, and Leia can’t celebrate for too long — a new Imperial threat has arisen. And while Luke has become a household name as “Death-Star-Blower-Upper,” he finds that not even the Force can protect him from a new menace: crazed fans! Things aren’t looking so good for Darth Vader, either, who finds himself locked in a hilarious “Sith-ling” rivalry with Darth Maul. LEGO Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out is an action-packed, comedic romp, perfect for fans of any age.

When LEGO Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out premiered on Cartoon Network, it became the number-one telecast of the day with kids ages 6-11 and boys ages 2-17. Written by Emmy Award-winner Michael Price (The Simpsons), the special features many of the beloved Star Wars voice actors fans know and love, including Anthony Daniels, Sam Witwer, Ahmed Best, and more.
