2014 Year End Review part 1
It’s been a great year for us at Yoda Archives. We have a lot of fun at the fairs and conventions. It’s great to get out there at meet people face to face. The traffic and support for my toy photography has been amazing. We’ve picked up more followers and sponsors. And also supported some Kickstarter projects and Creations for charity. In the next few posts I plan to recap the year.
Traffic
One of our 2014 blog goals was to beat 2013 views for each month. I’m happy to report We made that goal. We had an increase in views for every month some month were small increases others were huge. You broke my all time traffic record in July then again through out the year. In 2013 October was my least trafficked month, this fall October was my busiest month of the year. My Followers set another new record during October. The record was quickly broke in November and then shattered in December. With a few day remaining in December, the site had more traffic in one month than the entire first year. In fact it’s very close to being double that first year.

Today’s advent gift is father and son fireplace with lightsaber holders on the mantle. This might be the first time an item has had items for an Imperial and Rebel character. I added a few bricks behind the fire-place to make the flames stand out more.

Today’s item is a Y-wing. It’s made of a bunch of tiny bricks. The kind of pieces that are usually included as extras in sets. So you might have the parts to build more of these. Now it’s just a couple more days till Santa Darth Vader arrives.
This Y was late for an important meeting.

The December 18 LEGO Star Wars Advent minifig is General Carlist Rieekan. He was the leader of Echo Base on Hoth. Another nice looking figure. I like the focus on Hoth we’ve had in recent days.

Captain Marvel 100th solo issue!
Captain Marvel(2014) #10 hits the stores today. This issues marks the 100th solo issue for Carol Danvers. How can ten equal 100. Ms Marvel/Captain Marvel had has many series throughout the years. The current series by Kelly Sue Deconnick is amazing.

LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2014 December 16
Today’s item is a Rebel Pilot. Most likely Dak Ralter who was Luke snowspeeder Gunner in the Battle on Hoth. The LEGO Character Encyclopedia says the minifig has a unique blue Rebel Alliance markings on his helmet. This version has a dual sided head.

Today’s item is a Snow Speeder. It’s built slightly different from the minibuild from a previous year. It’s LEGO so there’s multiple ways to build the same thing.
LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2014 December 14
Today’s item is a Gx-8 moisture vaporator from Luke’s homestead. So it is an accessory for yesterday’s Luke Skywalker minifig. While it’s not a cool ship, it is a scene builder. It’s not too exciting but has some great parts. A couple of the blocks with studs on each side and some tan tubes that I could have used for a thw Merry Clone-mas build. Those blocks are named after a LEGO employee. I learned about them on the LEGO Creator Advent calendar. Which has a new video tip or animation everyday.
