LEGO Guardians of the Galaxy Advent Day 17
This year Marvel has a Guardians of the Galaxy advent calendar to tie in with the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. I will post a pic of each day’s item. This is more fun than looking for a worlde hint for today. In the special Mantis and Drax are trying to find the perfect gift to cheer up Peter.
The builds are based on the GOTG movies than the special itself. But there are some Christmas theme builds like the presents. I don’t think we will have Mantis in an ugly sweater. UPDATE surprise we had Nebula in an Ugly Sweater in the calendar, but she didn’t wear one in the Holiday Special.
What is today’s Advent item?
What is the GOTG gift for December 17? Is it a figure? Is it Christmas Decorations? A little bit of both?
Today we have a little of both. It’s a snowman of Thanos. Complete with helmet and some armor pieces. He had a spare arm. that same piece was use as a baby Groot in previous sets. The rocket minifig set (#5002145). You can see Rocket from that set in this post. But I forgot to put baby Groot in the pic.
I’ll find a flower pot piece and make a holiday baby Groot.

LEGO Star Wars Advent Dec 17
It’s time for LEGO advents. Every day till Christmas Eve we open a door of the Star Wars Lego Advent calendar (#75340). It kind of like what’s today’s wordle answer but with Star Wars and bricks. What is today’s LEGO advent item?
What is today’s LEGO Advent item?
Yesterday’s advent item was a weapons rack. I guess that today would be a minifigure. It is today we have a Snowtrooper. I feel like I say nice figure every time but LEGO usually has great looking print on the figs.
And here he is on the display stand. I had to remove his helmet to fit him on the base. Otherwise he would lean forward. The helmet is wide and hit the wall behind the figure.
We are also opening the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special advent calendar. That post will be up later today.
