Mandalorian March
The season three of The Mandalorian is now streaming. Here we see, Din Djarin (the Mandalorian), IG-11, and Grogu defending against unknown enemies. I will try to post Mandalorian pics on Wednesday. They won’t be related to that week’s episode.

Mandalorian Month
The new season of The Mandalorian starts today. I plan to get some pics of Mandalorian LEGO mini figures this week. Also Friday is take an action figure to work day. I need to figure whom to take to the home office. ( #afwd2023 )
Here is the Brick Headz set of the Child and Mandalorian 2 pack set #75317. It has 295 pieces and was released in July 2020 before we knew Grogu’s name.
The Child comes with a hover cradle. The Child is smaller than a standard Brick Headz since it is of a child. The brain is a pink 1×1 brick. For those unfamiliar with brickheadz, they have a brain, it’s a pink 2×2 brick other than that the build was straight forward.

I shot this with a new camera lenses for my phone. The apartment is Bros Thor’s New Asgard set. I used it a few times for other Thor pics. Here is the main New Asgard post with some custom brick. The set was also used last year for what in your stocking series.

Bonus LEGO Guardians of the Galaxy Content
It’s the day after Christmas. Here is some bonus fun with the Guardians calendar.
This year Marvel has a Guardians of the Galaxy advent calendar to tie in with the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special.
The special is Mantis and Drax trying to find the perfect gift to cheer up Peter. The builds are most likely based on the GOTG movies than the special itself. But there are some Christmas theme builds like the presents. I don’t think we will have Mantis in an ugly sweater.
December third’s build was a Kyln Hoverbot from when the crew is taken to prison in the first movie.
I made a little pic of the hoverbot and quill that day.
I decided to make a bigger scene. So here’s Quill in Kyln.

What is today’s Star Wars LEGO Advent item?
I called the Day 22 “The greatest figures stand ever! ” It is the ice cave where the Wampa stores Luke. Luke hangs upside down via some studs. I liked the build but it could be improved.
Here’s the image of the build with Luke Skywalker.
The build looked good but needed more. It was a bit unstable One side was made of tall 1x2s and went straight up no overlapping pieces I replaces on of the tall pieces with a shorter 1×2 and two single studs one with a stud on the side. This let me a a white piece as a snow shelf.
The part that holding Luke was only attached to one stude. I added a second SNOT piece behind it.
I added some blue transparent pieces for an ice look. and stuck the lightsaber in a ice. I need a white or blue transparent piece to replace the tan clip that holds the bone brick.

Like much of the country we’re in a big freeze. We’re hitting record lows here. There are rolling blackouts So I’m working fast while we have power. I want to shoot some more but it’s cold in the studio.

Today we have R2D2 in a C3PO sweater.
It did snow a little but the temp is 2F with wind chill below zero. No Outdoor photos today.

Today we have another part of Santa’s sleigh. This hooks behind the piece from a couple days ago. The rocket skis from yesterday attach to the sides. They didn’t provide the bricks to do that so I pulled a couple spare parts to attach the skis on the underside of the build.

It’s time for LEGO advents. Every day till Christmas Eve we open a door of the Star Wars Lego Advent calendar (#75340). It kind of like what’s today’s wordle answer but with Star Wars and bricks.
What is today’s Star Wars LEGO Advent item?
What is in the Star Wars advent today? Today continues the Echo Base theme.
It’s the greatest figures stand ever! The ice cave where the Wampa stores Luke. Luke hangs upside down via some studs. This is a great base could use some slight tweaking cause the piece Luke hangs on is on held by one stud. I may add another SNOT piece for stability.
It’s getting cold here as there’s a slight possibility of snow tonight. So there could be snow pics. But the temp could be in single digits so I may use stay inside all day.

Today we have a sprig of Holly. It’s made with three leaves pieces and a green baby Groot pieces. Ok the green version is often used for vegetable stalks. Pretty build.

What is in the Star Wars advent today? A radar dish from Echo Base. Looks like we’re still on Hoth for this build. Good use of 2 concave dishes to make the radar dish. Another reuse of the droid body piece fro the back of the dish.

Well it’s a figure but there’s hint it could be a little of both. It’s a min fig of Groot. He’s on a white base and has a bracket on his back. The bracket has a stud so maybe later we’ll get something to attach to it. And that cloud shaped base could he a tree skirt. Will Groot get decorated in the future?
He’s holding the phone upside down cause he’s at the awkward age.

Today we have a micro of Starlord’s Milano from the Guardians of the Galaxy vol I & II. Good looking ship.
You know what’s unusual for the set. So far we’ve not had much villain stuff. Yesterday’s Thanos snowman was the closest thing so far. We had the prison drone but that was part of the justice system. It was an obstacle for the group to overcome. But at that point in the story they were still thieves, assassins, and crooks. They hadn’t turned around to be heroes yet.
