LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2014 December 24 Vader Claus is coming to town
The big man has finally arrived. Darth Vader Claus is here. Merry Christmas! Merry Sithmas! This is one awesome looking minifig.
LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2014 December 23
Today’s advent gift is father and son fireplace with lightsaber holders on the mantle. This might be the first time an item has had items for an Imperial and Rebel character. I added a few bricks behind the fire-place to make the flames stand out more.
You better watch cause Santa Darth Vader comes tomorrow.
LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2014 December 22
Today’s advent gift is Tree-Two Dee-two. Another cool mini-fig.
LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2014 December 21
Today’s item is a Y-wing. It’s made of a bunch of tiny bricks. The kind of pieces that are usually included as extras in sets. So you might have the parts to build more of these. Now it’s just a couple more days till Santa Darth Vader arrives.
This Y was late for an important meeting.
LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2014 December 20
The December 20 LEGO Star Wars Advent gift is an Imperial Shuttle.
LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2014 December 19
The December 19 LEGO Star Wars Advent gift is Vader Santa’s speeder bike. They added Santa’s bag and gift to the bike to mark it as a Christmas Sleigh.
LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2014 December 18
The December 18 LEGO Star Wars Advent minifig is General Carlist Rieekan. He was the leader of Echo Base on Hoth. Another nice looking figure. I like the focus on Hoth we’ve had in recent days.
LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2014 December 17
The December 17 LEGO Star Wars Advent gift is another snow cannon.
LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2014 December 16
Today’s item is a Rebel Pilot. Most likely Dak Ralter who was Luke snowspeeder Gunner in the Battle on Hoth. The LEGO Character Encyclopedia says the minifig has a unique blue Rebel Alliance markings on his helmet. This version has a dual sided head.
LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2014 December 15
Today’s item is a Snow Speeder. It’s built slightly different from the minibuild from a previous year. It’s LEGO so there’s multiple ways to build the same thing.
LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2014 December 14
Today’s item is a Gx-8 moisture vaporator from Luke’s homestead. So it is an accessory for yesterday’s Luke Skywalker minifig. While it’s not a cool ship, it is a scene builder. It’s not too exciting but has some great parts. A couple of the blocks with studs on each side and some tan tubes that I could have used for a thw Merry Clone-mas build. Those blocks are named after a LEGO employee. I learned about them on the LEGO Creator Advent calendar. Which has a new video tip or animation everyday.
A moisture vaporator was a relatively simple device used to harvest excess atmospheric humidity. It was ground-based and used on planets such as Tatooine.
- “What I really need is a droid that understands the binary language of moisture vaporators.”
“Vaporators? Sir, my first job was programming binary loadlifters—very similar to your vaporators in most respects.“ - ―Owen Lars and C-3PO
LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2014 December 13
The December 13th build is Luke Skywalker in his Star Wars: A New Hope outfit. Will tomorrow mean his accessory pack. I guess we’ll see in the morning.
LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2014 December 12
The December 12th build is a Luke Skywalker’s Land Speeder. Cool build of a classic vehicle.
LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2014 December 11
The December 11th gift is a Tie-Fighter pilot to accompany yesterday’s Tie-fighter. Great minifig. One of my favorites costumes from the entire Saga. I need an army of these. Please send me some. 🙂
LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2014 December 10
The December 10th build is a Tie-Fighter. A cool ship from the original trilogy. It’s an improvement over the 2011 version. Both versions use a SNOT (studs not on top) brick for the cockpit of the ship. But the older one just added tiles to the side. Today’s model has bigger panels and looks more like Tie Fighter.
LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2014 December 8
The December 7th build is an Imperial Snowtrooper. Finally another Trooper for the army. He fits well with the tripod laser cannon.
LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2014 December 7
The December 7th build is a tri-pod laser cannon converted into a snow ball cannon. If you are having trouble see the small build instructions, look on the box art. The door for day one, just above today’s door, has a picture of the completed cannon. It’s Sunday so there’s new online content at LEGO.com
LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2014 December 5
Today we have the accessory rack for yesterday’s Coco-trooper. He now has his helmet so he can march with his fellow clone troopers.
LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2014 December 4
Today we a Coco-trooper. I wonder if there’s blue mix in the mug.
LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2014 December 3
Today we have an AV-7 Anti-Vehicle Cannon. A cool mini build. I really like the use of parts for the base. But come on now lets build ECHO base. I want to see something from The Empire Strikes back.
