It is advent calendar time. Here’s a bonus pic from today’s build. And it answer The question “How did Boba Fett escape the Sarlacc?
- “His High Exaltedness, the great Jabba the Hutt, has decreed that you are to be terminated immediately… You will therefore be taken to the Dune Sea and cast into the pit of Carkoon, the nesting place of the all-powerful Sarlacc… In its belly, you will find a new definition of pain and suffering, as you are slowly digested over a thousand years.“

I am posting this because alot of people are still looking for this figure. Amazon.comh as the prototype white armor Boba Fett as a lighting deal. This is the 2011 mailaway figure that is 3.75″not the taller walgreens black series version. The figure is 19.99 down from 29.99 for about another hour. Dec 10 2014
This limited edition figure depicts the first costume ever produced for Boba Fett. The all-white armor reflects the character’s initial concept as a “super trooper” before he evolved into the bounty hunter he is today. This prototype design was unveiled on June 28, 1978 in a screen test shot and is being worn by the assistant film editor for The Empire Strikes Back. In the 20-minute screen test, the sound designer describes the myriad weapons and features on this armored uniform for George Lucas and the Star Wars crew. For the first time ever, we have created this special action figure to commemorate the birth of this favorite character from the Star Wars saga. Re-enact your favorite Star Wars adventures or create brand-new ones with this Vintage Collection BOBA FETT (Prototype Armor) figure! Your figure will be awesome in battle, but your collection will be all the cooler because this version of BOBA FETT wasn’t in the original movie! Satisfy your adventure craving and your collector’s eye with this unusual figure!
Nerd Block subscriptions ends in five days. Here is what we know about November’s block.
Next Time in Nerd Block!
The November block will contain a Boba Fett item, a Batman item, an exclusive shirt, and a chance at a bonus celebrity item. Nerd Block has announce that this month shirt features Deadpool and this is the only place to get the design. As extra incentive one in seven blocks will have an autograph by future Nerd Block curator Bruce Campbell. Sometime in the near future Bruce Campbell will select the items in the nerd block. But this month he’s autographed some cards for some lucky subscribers. So good luck.First 250 subscribers to use the code HOLIDAY save for 15% off Nerd Block!
Nerd Block unboxing time!
Kevin Smith is the Guest Curator for this month’s Nerd Block. The theme is Collide: Marvel versus DC. They teased that the box would include a tee-shirt, Deadpool Figure, an Avengers replica prop, and on the noncomic side some kind of Zelda related item.
So What’s in the Box?
Let’s see what’ in the box.
The A Legend of Zelda Dangler.
Arkham Asylum patient notebook. I can’t find much about this online other than other unboxing post it’s cool.
The Deadpool is a Funk pop Bobblehead. There were possible versions, red suit or X-force Gray suit. I got the gray suit. There was pop vinyl figure back in the August block.
The official Avengers prop is Agent Coulson’s Vintage Captain America Trading cards. These are great there’s two sets of the cards. One in mint condition one blood stained. Great for Agent Coulson or Nick Fury costumers. This is my favorite item in the box. A quick search shows this retailing at $40.
MSRP: $40 (Plus Shipping/Handling)

This said this month will be my last Nerd Block unboxing. We just got hit with some unexpected expenses and we have to trim some things. The mystery box is one of them. Being an adult sucks. November’s box will have a Boba Fett item and a one in seven chance of having an Bruce Campbell Autograph. Plus some time in the future Bruce Campbell will be the Nerd Block curator.
I still get traffic from people searching for the mailaway prototype armor Boba Fett. The figure was offered in 2011-2012 as a premium. Fans could mail in UPCs and get a limited edition figure. If you missed it then your search may soon be over. Walgreen has announced an exclusive six-inch Black Series Boba Fett in the white armor. This is larger scale than the 2011 figure.
The figure is up for preorder and will not ship till October 15. Its says not sold in stores. I don’t know if that means till the release date or if it is an online exclusive entirely. They also will not ship it to certain states. Here is their full description.
Highly Articulated Figure Looks Like Boba Fett (Prototype Armor) & is Armed with a Blaster
Figure is Part of the First-Ever 6-Inch Series of Star Wars Figures
All-White Armor Reflects the Original Design for the Character
Figure Stands 6 Inches Tall
Figure Comes with Accessory
Before he puts on the familiar Mandalorian armor from the Star Wars saga, this notorious bounty hunter was initially envisioned as a “super trooper” in all-white armor. This special figure captures the beginning of a character that has become a legend who is both respected and feared across the galaxy … Boba Fett.
Re-create the biggest battles and missions in the Star Wars epic with figures from The Black Series! This highly articulated figure is part of Hasbro’s first-ever 6-inch Star Wars figure collection. He looks like Boba Fett (Prototype Armor) down to the last detail. His all-white armor is designed with pinpoint accuracy — it’s as if he just walked off the set of one of his biggest scenes. You’re going to need a bigger shelf for your Boba Fett (Prototype Armor) figure and the rest of the Black Series!

So what do you think? Will you get this version of Boba Fett? Do you have the earlier version?
Hallmark has revealed their 2014 Christmas ornament selections. Once again there are some cool Star Wars ones. One is a Yoda peakbuster ornament. This motion-activated ornament will catch peekers and snack seekers. Hear Yoda dish out wise warnings to stay away whenever he senses that peekers have come near. It’s 19.95 and will be available in October.
Hear it at Hallmark.com
The past three years the have released a LEGO Star Wars ornament. The 2014 character is Boba Fett. I know I’ll be picking him up in July. Boba Fett retails for $14.95
Rise of Lord Vader $19.95 Listen Darth Vader one of my favorite characters but they pick his worse dialogue from the entire saga for the sound chip. If it was just an ornament without sound I might get it. I just don’t think I’ll pay $19.95 for one I don’t want to listen to.
Cantina Band $34.95 Listen Figrin D’an and the Modal Nodes star in this ornament. It’s cool and plays the cantina theme music. But expensive.
Sand Crawler $29.95 Listen and a Scout Trooper for $17.95
Godzilla $17.95 Listen And Godzilla I might get this one.
Alien $17.95 October
If you join Hallmarks rewards program they’ll send you e-mail notices of when the new ornaments are released plus coupons a few times a season. Many of these will be released on July 12-13.
You better watch out Santa Jango Fett is coming to town! There is nice torso printing on this one. The Mandalorian looks great in red with a little white collar and some holly. The helmet is still in Jango’s colors not red so you know it’s Jango and not Boba.
Why would they make that distinction? Did they just leave a hint as to how Santa travels the world in one night? and why you see Santas in every mall? Is Santa the genetic material for a clone army? Is that how he gets elves?

Brick pedia entry for #75023 2013 star Wars advent calendar
(TPM) the Phantom Menace
(ATC) Attack of the Clones
(ROS) Return of the Sith
(ANH) Star Wars:A New Hope
(ESB) The Empire Strikes back
(RTJ) Return of the Jedi
My favorites were the AT-TE, Biker Scout, Santa Jango Fett, Zam Wesell’s Ship, Slave 1, and the sleigh. Least favorite was the Solar sailor. A couple of ships were hard to id. Dooku’s ship was even pictured sideways on the box. Plus too much Prequel builds for me. But overall another fun advent calendar. I kind of wish this was out last year. I went to a con that had the actors that played Jango Fett and Young Boba Fett. It would have been cool to have them sign a pic of their mini figs.
What Christmas theme minifig would you like to see in 2014? I like to see Queen Amidala from set #9499 Gungan Sub as a Christmas tree. Or back to the Original Trilogy and an Empire Strikes Back theme with Santa Solo in red Hoth gear. Plus a Miss Santa Leia. Or Maybe a Snow Droid C3-PO or Gift wrapped Han Solo in Carbonite with a bow
What was your favorite? What was you least favorite?
Today’s advent calendar build is Santa Jango Fett’s Sleigh. This is a really nice mini build. It’s one of my favorites from the calendar. That’s big considering I’m such a Star wars fan. It was easy to build and includes Jango’s Jet pack. Tomorrow Santa Jango Fett Arrives.
