Bonus LEGO Star Wars Advent Content!

The advent calendar is done all doors have been open. But there’s still time for fun here’s extra photos from the calendar.

What is today’s Star Wars LEGO Advent item?

I called the Day 22 “The greatest figures stand ever! ” It is the ice cave where the Wampa stores Luke. Luke hangs upside down via some studs. I liked the build but it could be improved.

Here’s the image of the build with Luke Skywalker.

Luke shywalker hanging upside down in an icy cave.

The build looked good but needed more. It was a bit unstable One side was made of tall 1x2s and went straight up no overlapping pieces I replaces on of the tall pieces with a shorter 1×2 and two single studs one with a stud on the side. This let me a a white piece as a snow shelf.
The part that holding Luke was only attached to one stude. I added a second SNOT piece behind it.

I added some blue transparent pieces for an ice look. and stuck the lightsaber in a ice. I need a white or blue transparent piece to replace the tan clip that holds the bone brick.

Review

My favorites were Chewbacca cooking a Porg, Luke Skywalker, Poe’s X-wing, the Mynock, and Ahch-To. I think this is the third Chewbacca we’ve seen in the advent Calendars. One was a snowman version. But Chewie cooking a Porg is just funny. I love the micro location build like Ahch-To.
Like last year the wasn’t much holiday themed builds. I miss that the themed build help make the calendar special. See below for the snowman Chewbacca from 2016. I hope next year there are more. I also wish they would not show everything on the box. I want to be surprised by the build. It would be great if they would show a few and say 24 gifts. Maybe blot out the models, like Kenner did before Jedi was released. Also if they could make the online PDF instructions less spoiler. If you download it you can see all the builds.

What Christmas theme minifig would you like to see in 2020? I like to see Queen Amidala from set #9499 Gungan Sub as a Christmas tree.  Or back to the Original Trilogy and an Empire Strikes Back theme with Santa Solo in red Hoth gear. Plus a Miss Santa Leia. Or Maybe a Snow Droid C3-PO or Gift wrapped Han Solo in Carbonite with a bow. It would be real easy to make snowman BB-8,

2018 Star Wars LEGO Christmas Advent Calendar * Review

A quick review of the 2018 Star Wars Advent Calendar (75213).

My favorites were the Cloud City, Rathtar, IG-88, Tie-Fighter, Speeder bike, and Antoc Merrick. It was cool to see stuff from the animated LEGO show. But I really enjoyed the Rouge One stuff. I really like last years Rebels builds. The calendar was tilted towards Newer Star Wars films. Rose and the Guavian Death Gang Member were a cool part of the set. The limited Christmas themed builds was disappointing.  Those Christmas theme Star Wars builds were part of the fun of previous year’s sets. This year only had a tree and a snowman. Both were cool build but I wanted more.

What Christmas theme minifig would you like to see in 2019? Are you hoping LEGO will bring back the Christmas inspired figs and minibuilds?

I asked this a few years ago. I still want a Santa Solo. (Hoth Gear).  Another cool one would be Hera with stockings over her head tails. Seriously LEGO Santa Han or Elven Hera or Ashoka would be awesome.

What Christmas theme minifig would you like to see in 2014? I like to see Queen Amidala from set #9499 Gungan Sub as a Christmas tree.  Or back to the Original Trilogy and an Empire Strikes Back theme with Santa Solo in red Hoth gear. Plus a Miss Santa Leia. Or Maybe a Snow Droid C3-PO or Gift wrapped Han Solo in Carbonite with a bow.

Dec 24 2013 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar

You better watch out Santa Jango Fett is coming to town! There is nice torso printing on this one. The Mandalorian looks great in red with a little white collar and some holly. The helmet is still in Jango’s colors not red so you know it’s Jango and not Boba.
Why would they make that distinction? Did they just leave a hint as to how Santa travels the world in one night? and why you see Santas in every mall? Is Santa the genetic material for a clone army? Is that how he gets elves?

(TPM) the Phantom Menace
(ATC) Attack of the Clones
(ROS) Return of the Sith

(ESB) The Empire Strikes back
(RTJ) Return of the Jedi

My favorites were the AT-TE, Biker Scout, Santa Jango Fett,  Zam Wesell’s Ship, Slave 1, and the sleigh. Least favorite was the Solar sailor.  A couple of ships were hard to id. Dooku’s ship was even pictured sideways on the box. Plus too much Prequel builds for me. But overall another fun advent calendar. I kind of wish this was out last year. I went to a con that had the actors that played Jango Fett and Young Boba Fett. It would have been cool to have them sign a pic of their mini figs.

Dec 23 2013 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar

Today’s advent calendar build is Santa Jango Fett’s Sleigh. This is a really nice mini build. It’s one of my favorites from the calendar. That’s big considering I’m such a Star wars fan. It was easy to build and includes Jango’s Jet pack. Tomorrow Santa Jango Fett Arrives.
