More Dino Dudes.

They have a few fully painted versions there now but the were other options for the Kickstarter. Including single color accessory packs which have all the dinosaur suits just with out the extra printing. I got the accessory and will post it soon but these figs were too cool to wait.
Below is the fossil version of the Triceratops.

Brickfair Alabama: The waiting is the hardest part.
I finally have time for a Brickfaire Alabama recap.
We got there a little later than we had anticipated and we surprised by the huge line. The show started at 11am. I thought if we got there around noon, the early crowd would be gone. We left later than i wanted and noon turned to one. Then after a stop for lunch, one turned to 1:30 before we made to the convention center. The line outside snaked from the entrance across the front of the building to the corner and then up the side of the street. The line kept growing behind us. But the line moved swiftly. Every few minutes they would let another fifty people into the exhibit hall. They did come around asking if anyone had presale tickets. So next year I’ll get presale tickets. There wasn’t one last year and we got there around lunch time.
Once inside the building the line moved from the door to the right wall the back to the left and up the stairs. Then it flowed from above the stairs around the corner and down a hallway to the doors. They let more people inside and we almost made it but got stop at the door. At least now we were first inline. A friendly Brickfair worker chatted with us. asked how long we’d been there at that point it was about forty minutes. We just had to wait a little bit long for a few people to clear out and we could enter the fun.
Once inside to the immediate left was the play and stay area. To the right a massive brick built Crane and just a just pass that our first stop, EclipseGrafx. They had some awesome custom bricks. I had a list of what I needed and stuck to it. I got some food bricks and zombie heads, although they didn’t have one of the heads I was hunting.

Part of the Mini-Con display. The Mini-Con was a model of the convention itself and individual exhibitors built tiny version of their builds.
After shopping it was train time. My son loved looking at the trains. We watched them for a little while then moved to mini-con. The Mini-Con is a brick model of the convention hall. BrickFair provided the basic structure to the model and then vendors add minimises of their displays. We turn from that table ans saw Thomas the train.
After that we played a couple of the crane games. Didn’t win anything but didn’t spend too much either. They didn’t have the build a mini fig vending machine that were there last year. I wanted to build a random fig for the blog. I tried to build a random fig at a booth by just blindly grabbing parts. It just didn’t feel the same so I passed. My son however built his own minig fig. He was very proud of it. We took a chance at winning some bricks. There was a jar of bricks. who ever guessed closest to the number of bricks would win the box. I made a guess. My son want to drop the slip in the box, so I lifted him up. Then he want to fill out a paper. so brickfair got post note scribble in their box.
We visited the Brick Warriors booth and got a full bag of fantasy pieces. My son was helping by filling my cup with round viking shields. We looked at minifig and models for a while. The swung around for another pass. We found the Modern Brick Warfare booth. They had some great weapons and minifigs. I was too busy visiting to remember to buy some riot shields.
We even saw a celebrity Emmet was at Brickfair! We looked at the train once more. It was time to admit we were tired and ready to head home. My son was asleep by the time we hit I-65.
There will be three more Brickfair events later this year.

I attended last year and had a great time. There was so many things to see and do you didn’t know where to start. There were dozens of s LEGO sold in sets or by the brick. Many vendors were selling loose minifigs either form the collectible series or from opened sets. There was also LEGO related media the Brickshow and Brick Journal were both in attendance.
Again this year there will be custom vendors that mold new part or take official LEGO parts and repaint them. Some of these are Clone Army Customs, BrickWarriors, Modern Brick Warfare, and EclipseGrafx. Some of the LEGO resellers include Classic Plastic bricks, Atlanta Brick Company, and we like it bricks and studs.
This one of the parts vending machines. There was a group of them called Build a Girl. Each machine had a body part one, a head, one a torso, and one legs. Onece you visited them all you had a randomly made minifig. There were also machine that had just bricks by kind or building function. These are some nice options to get a bit of the randomness fun.

Bricks of the Mouse Guard Kickstarter
Crazy Bricks is about to wrap up another Kickstarter project. This time they are doing the Mouse Guard. Mouse Guard is a graphic novel series by David Petersen. I have not read the series but the artwork is beautiful.
In Mouse Guard, mice struggle to live safely and prosper among all of the world’s harsh conditions and predators. Thus the Mouse Guard was formed. They are not simply soldiers that fight off intruders; rather, they are guides for common mice looking to journey without confrontation from one hidden mouse village to another.
The sets will include various mouse heads and character accessories. The head colors are tan, grey, reddish-brown, and dark brown. The accessories are two styles of flagons, a cool axe, a lantern on a staff, and a sword. I really like the looks of these flagons. I want to get a bunch of these for my minifigs when they are released next year.
Each accessories set comes in your choice of one of three colors – Gun-Metal Grey, Brown, or Gold
Stretch Goals
They already have added some pre stretch goal items. Each set will include a bonus black mouse head and a stove pipe hat. They hit the first stretch goal bonus, an extra flagon. The next goal in another bonus flagon. AT $25,000 they add a random item, And if they hit $30,000 they plan for add ons.
1. We’ve teamed up with the artists at BrickArms, CitizenBrick and Cape Madness to produce fully-realized custom Mouse Guard Minifigures of your favorite Mouse Guard Heroes! These will include pad-printed custom torsos, limited-edition colored weapons, Hero length capes, 10th Anniversary Mouse Guard packaging and more!
2. 1 x 8 Mouse Guard Badge Bricks so you can show your love of the Guard!
3. You can ADD ON additional Crates of the Matriarch!
They have a target date of March 2015 to have the Mouse Guard bricks ready for the tenth anniversary of the Mouse Guard Series. Alice Finch and Washington state based Lego User Group, ARCHLUG plan to build a World of Mouse Guard MOC at Seattle’s Emerald City Comic Con. Alice Finch built Hogwarts Castle out of 400,000 LEGO bricks. She displayed at BrickCon 2012.
The Kickstarter ends late Sunday night. It has already been funded so they stretching for the extra goals. They are less tan 2,000 away from a second bonus tankard in every set.
I supported Crazy Brick’s previous kickstarter event for the Munchkin Bricks. I hope to have those bricks soon. I’ve been looking forward to them for a while.

Captain Marvel’s Hair.
Captain Marvel’s various hairstyles.
This was suggested by a friend. The same Carol Corps member that delivered my Captain Marvel is here print to Kelly Sue at Dragon Con. Kelly Sue also signed a copy for me which is now hanging next to my office door.
The vanity is made using the instructions from Friends Andrea’s Bedroom (41009). I made it a few studs wider for the wigs stands. I changed the color scheme. I had most of the parts already I just had to get the cabinets and the mirror pieces.
Brix Dew is from Eclipse Bricks, Captain Marvel is a custom fig from buygofig, I changed the head and hair pieces. The original hair is to her left.

Old Family Videos
I still own a few VHS tapes, mainly stuff the I haven’t or can’t replace with dvds. My son randomly collects things, calls them “mine”, and takes them to his room. I found this case in his floor. Star-Lord has a walkman maybe he’s got a VCR..
Captain Marvel Victorious!
Much later than I had wanted here’s my newest LEGO image, Captain marvel defeats the Daleks. I had planned this for new comic Wednesday but didn’t like my first series so I reshot it. The Daleks are from Character Building and Captain Marvel is a custom minifigure. I’m really proud of the how this one turned out.
Captain Marvel is here!
Another custom figure I purchased. I did change the hair piece on the figure. I shot the figure with her original hair and the pony tail. I preferred this image because of the way the light hit her hair.
