Happy Halloween From The Trick or Treat set!

I hope you have a happy Halloween. Here’s the Lego Trick or Treat set and a trio of the series 14 Monsters minifigs. The Trick or Treat Halloween (Seasonal Set # 40122) is a cool set.  It has two figures, not pictured,  a basic skeleton and a little girl dressed as a witch.I thought it was weird to have an actual Skeleton and not an adult in a costume. They could have repainted one of the many costumed characters from earlier minifig series. Or just a minifig adult with a Halloween themed shirt.

I ordered this set as soon as it was available So I wouldn’t miss it, LEGO has released some cool mini sets this year and they’ve all sold out fast. I already have the Thanksgiving set(#40123).

Lego Minifigures series 14 in Stores now!

The series 14 mini figures are in stores now. This time there’s a Halloween or monster theme. I found some put out early at walgreens last week. They didn’t scan when I got to the register but the clerk asked the price and rang them up. He said they just came in that day. I went back a few days later and they weren’t on the pegs. They may have sold the few they had out, just enough to fill a peg and that was mixed with series 13 fig. Or they may have put them in the back since they didn’t scan and weren’t official out till today.

At least I got them then and wasn’t denied like with the series 10 I found at K-mart a couple of years ago.

I went out looking today none at Target. None at Walgreens near work. They had some series 13 that had security sensors on them. They were big black sensors over the bag’s peg hole. I was disappointed to see they had to do that. But A few months back i did see a guy shove some Star wars Black series figures in his coat so i understand why they did that. What was worse was what Toys R Us did. They had the minifigs in security cases. The big plastic ones that they keep video game inside.  The clerk said they had to do that due to theft. That just really sad.

Any way last week I got the human Fly, a ghoul, and Square Foot. Today I for the Plant man. I got a couple more to open with my son. He’s old enough for the figs and he in to Halloween. I’ll get pics some time.

Robot Tober 2014 Day Three

Last October I challenged myself to post a robot toy related picture everyday. I am continuing the challenge this year. Welcome back to Robot Tober!

Today post is a Hexbug Zombie Nanobot. Hexbug Nanobots are basically toy bugs. They walk bump into thing and change directions. They do look like scurrying bugs. This time of year you can find the Zombie version that have a glow in the dark skeleton. They come in a black or orange coffin. I found this one in Target Halloween section for about $5.

The monster cereals are back. General Mills releases Boo Berry, Franken Berry, and Count Chocula every year for Halloween. They are in limited release throughout the year, If you can find them. But for Halloween you can find them in most stores. This year General Mills is bringing back Yummy Mummy and Fruit Brute. Target has exclusive retro packaging of all five. Plus a Halloween cookbook. The book is free if you buy three boxes. It has a few recipes using the cereals but most are regular recipes altered a bit for Halloween.

A little history on the Monster Cereals.
