April 28 is Superhero day! It’s a holiday created by Marvel Comics in 1995 to celebrate both fictional and real life heroes. If I knew earlier I would have made a day long series of posts. But since it’s almost supper time which can be super, I’ll post a few favorite pics.
It’s Batman day! DC comics is celebrating Batman day. They have some free comics on the DC page and comixiology. Thee some activities like make a bat signal and an activity book.
They announced the new LEGO BatWing inspired by the 1989 movie.
It’s Labor day weekend and Superhero stuff is holding a sale. If you can’t make it to Atlanta for the big convention get some cool stuff here. And speaking of comic cons, I’ll be at The Geek Gathering in Alabama in two weeks. IF you are in the Northern Alabama Area come check it out. The Geek Gathering Sept 17 & 18
Deadpool week continues with “No Chimicangas!” Taco Tuesday is interrupted by National Pizza Day and this creative pizza by Nerdy Nummies.
It would be great to have before you go see the movie. I guess you could try to sneak the pizza into the theater. Or Maybe just wait till the Blu Ray is released.
Nerdy Nummies by Rosanna Pansino has great geek themed recipes. follow her you won’t be disappointed.
This is the Valentine’s Day Dinner set #40120. The set was sold at the LEGO store and shop.LEGO earlier this year. But I found this one at ROSS for $7.99. It’s a nice little vignette. It included two minifigs and a brick built gift box to hide a gold ring. It also had some of the cool profile 1×2 bricks, that have an alternating grooves that look like bricks on one side. I like these quick build sets. I’ll be watching for more of these small holiday vignettes. I missed out on the Easter one.
LEGO Specials
Ross also has a few the LEGO movies sets I saw the Ice Cream Machine (70804) and Bad Cop’s Pursuit. They were 19.99 or $24.99.
Happy Valentines day. If you’ve been following the blog for a while you may remember this one. I used it last year for “Red” themed photo challenge. I didn’t find the candy till after Valentines day last year.
