2016 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar Day 9!
Rebels!
These are a couple of the builds from the Christmas Build Up box. I like these mini builds. They are bigger than normal LEGO Advent builds but you cannot build all the models at the same time. The set is like a mini Creator set. I’d be building more but won’t have time till next week.

2016 LEGO Advent Calendar(s) Day 2
It’s Star Wars LEGO Advent time. The first Gift for 2016 is a Bespin Guard.
Also this year I’m posting the mini advent (40222 Christmas Build Up)that LEGO gave as a promotion in October. The set is 250 pieces. You can’t build all the models at the same time. But after sorting the parts, I could see that most were common bricks that I may already have in my collection. Many of them are the common spare pieces that LEGO packs in sets. So I may build a model with a different color brick.
The bricks I may be not have extra are the eyes for the animals, We will see.
I’ll edit this post with a pic of the second gift later.

Today’s item is a Gx-8 moisture vaporator from Luke’s homestead. So it is an accessory for yesterday’s Luke Skywalker minifig. While it’s not a cool ship, it is a scene builder. It’s not too exciting but has some great parts. A couple of the blocks with studs on each side and some tan tubes that I could have used for a thw Merry Clone-mas build. Those blocks are named after a LEGO employee. I learned about them on the LEGO Creator Advent calendar. Which has a new video tip or animation everyday.
A moisture vaporator was a relatively simple device used to harvest excess atmospheric humidity. It was ground-based and used on planets such as Tatooine.
- “What I really need is a droid that understands the binary language of moisture vaporators.”
“Vaporators? Sir, my first job was programming binary loadlifters—very similar to your vaporators in most respects.“ - ―Owen Lars and C-3PO
