We a dusting of snow, preceded by freezing rain. Usually when we get snow it melts away pretty fast. Luckily I had time to create a few mini-figs in snow pics.

Robot Tober Day two
Welcome to Robot Tober. I decided to challenge myself to do a post a day for this month. The theme for the month is Robots. each day I plan to post a pic of a robot, mech, or power suit action figure.
Today’s toy is the new Female Robot from LEGO Minifigures series 11. Still available in stores. If you find your figures by touch, feel for the L-shaped bracket that connects to the wind up key and a squarish block with bumps on multiple sides. If you only feel bumps on the top is the gift box that is with the elf.
Yetis need to exercise too.
The Yeti is walking his walker.
Yeti is from series 11 collectible mini figures and the AT-AT is from 2012 Star Wars Advent calendar.

Today.com : At last! LEGO creates a female scientist minifigure
Today.com article of the female scientist minifig. I posted a pic of one these a few days ago one of my favorite of series 11. Why because it’s a minifig of my wife. She’s a scientist and has a minor in chemistry. Two great articles to read.

This LEGO minifigure isn’t wearing pink, and she isn’t showing any skin. Her wardrobe consists of a crisp white lab uniform and glasses, and her little claw hands grasp two itty-bitty Erlenmeyer flasks.
The “Scientist” just hit stores on Sept. 1 as part of LEGO’s Minifigure Series 11, and she’s already being hailed as a stereotype-busting hero of the toy aisle. Those who have kept a wary eye on LEGO’s pastel-hued, cleavage-heavy, hair-salon-loving minifigures for girls say the Scientist is a big, big deal and the first of its kind.
“Let us hope that this is only the beginning,” science editor and writer Maia Weinstock declared in an in-depth blog post for ScientificAmerican.com.
“I think this figure is a positive step because it portrays a woman in a STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) career without resorting to gender stereotyping by making her pink or calling her a ‘lady scientist,’” Elizabeth Sweet, a doctoral candidate in sociology at the University of California, Davis, told LiveScience.

Another article on the Female Scientist This is the blog mentioned in the Today.com article.
It’s 11:47 am on the Sunday before Labor Day, and I’m staking out a LEGO store inside a Byzantine shopping mall on the outskirts of Boston. I am here with a coterie of children and parents, the lot of us waiting impatiently while three LEGO associates in black shirts and khakis make their last-minute preparations before the onslaught begins.
