LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2014 December 11
The December 11th gift is a Tie-Fighter pilot to accompany yesterday’s Tie-fighter. Great minifig. One of my favorites costumes from the entire Saga. I need an army of these. Please send me some. 🙂
Classic Spaceman minifig
September 1-14 LEGO VIP members can get a classic spaceman minifigure with a $99 purchase at LEGO Stores. I held off on buying a few sets till the first so I could get this set. The set includes a classic spaceman in a white outfit and a black robot. The set was a quick build since it is two figures. It comes in a nice box with a booklet. The booklet show the box art from the Space theme and some of the space minifigs.
If you are interested be quick. I have a feeling these guys won’t last long.
What else did I get today?
The 2014 Star Wars Advent Calendar, a Spider-man set, and a LEGO Ideas set. The Advent calendar features Santa Darth Vader. Yes! I’ve tried not to look at the box or online pictures too much but have glimpsed enough original trilogy stuff to make me happy. I will blog this calendar in December. I also picked up Spider-man verse Electro set and since it was in stock and the movie is in theaters this weekend, I got the Ghost Busters set. Hopefully I can build this later in the week.

Brick pedia entry for #75023 2013 star Wars advent calendar
(TPM) the Phantom Menace
(ATC) Attack of the Clones
(ROS) Return of the Sith
(ANH) Star Wars:A New Hope
(ESB) The Empire Strikes back
(RTJ) Return of the Jedi
My favorites were the AT-TE, Biker Scout, Santa Jango Fett, Zam Wesell’s Ship, Slave 1, and the sleigh. Least favorite was the Solar sailor. A couple of ships were hard to id. Dooku’s ship was even pictured sideways on the box. Plus too much Prequel builds for me. But overall another fun advent calendar. I kind of wish this was out last year. I went to a con that had the actors that played Jango Fett and Young Boba Fett. It would have been cool to have them sign a pic of their mini figs.
What Christmas theme minifig would you like to see in 2014? I like to see Queen Amidala from set #9499 Gungan Sub as a Christmas tree. Or back to the Original Trilogy and an Empire Strikes Back theme with Santa Solo in red Hoth gear. Plus a Miss Santa Leia. Or Maybe a Snow Droid C3-PO or Gift wrapped Han Solo in Carbonite with a bow
What was your favorite? What was you least favorite?
Dec 5 2013 LEGO Star Wars Advent calendar
The blogging of the LEGO Star Wars Advent calendar (#75023) continues. Today’s gift is cloud car that flew over Cloud City in Bespin. For as tiny as this one is, it was hard to build.
If you are blogging any of the LEGO calendars CITY, Star Wars, or Friends, please leave a link in the comments.
Dec 4 2013 LEGO Star Wars Advent calendar
It is time for the annual blogging of the LEGO Star Wars Advent calendar (#75023). Today’s gift is Koro-2 Exodrive Airspeeder. The ship was piloted by Zam Wesell in Attack of the Clones. A large version of this ship was in LEGO set 7133 Bounty hunter pursuit back when the minifigs were still yellow.

Yoda Chronicles Build At TRU May 4th
I was at Toys r US today, They had a poster for a Yoda Chronicles build on Saturday May the fourth from noon till 2. It’s a black mini star fighter. See if your store has a sign in the LEGO aisle. Not sure of the qualifications to get it. I’m guessing the regular TRU rules apply.

I like to see Queen Amidala from set #9499 Gungan Sub as a Christmas tree. Next year Hasbro packing features Yoda. Will the calendar be focused on Return of the Jedi for the 30th anniversary? or on one of the prequels that will be out in 3D next fall?

Today’s Advent build is Darth Maul’s Sith Infiltrator.
There’s online content as well this year. With each door has a code to enter on LEGO’s SW calendar page. There’s a small animation of the model. It’s like the item building scenes from the LEGO Star Wars Games.
one a personal note my blog traffic has already passed last year December totals. and this month is now the second highest visited month in the history of the blog.
so thanks for following!

Today’s Advent mini-fig is a Rebel solider. Really neat figure from Star Wars: A New Hope. He’s one of the first characters we see in the entire saga. He has a cool large hat which, like the rebel trooper in Hoth gear, has three visors.
Star Wars LEGO Advent Calendar 2012 * Dec 17
Today’s Advent build is another ship from The Phantom Menace, a mini model of a Naboo Flash Speeder. There’s too much Phantom Menace in this calendar.
