Reminder Hulk Build and Grow And LEGO Captain America Mosaic
Build and Grow!
Tomorrow is the Hulk Build and Grow project. Hulk is the final project in the Avengers Ultron Revolution series. To attend the event you need to register at Lowe’s Build and Grow. These event start at 10am and if you’re later than 10:15 they may give the set to people than have not registered.
What’s Included?
The free kit has a wooden project, instructions with a comic on the back, a patch of that project, an apron and goggles.. You can put your child’s name on the apron and iron on the patches. Then they can wear it the next time.
To attend the event you need to register at Lowe’s Build and Grow. Use the store locator to fins the nearest event. Fill out the form. Then print out the waiver and bring it to with you. Registration for the next event opens Monday after an event.

TRU: Free LEGO City Polybag
This week at Toys R Us, you can get a free LEGO City Prison Helicopter set with a purchase of any LEGO purchase of $30 or more. Set #30346 is a single person helicopter. The set has 46 pieces and includes a mini-fig. It has a retail value of $3.99.

LEGO Rocket Raccoon at Toys R Us.
The Rocket Raccoon (#5002145) polybag is finally available at Toys R Us in the US. It is not a gift with purchase either you can just buy the Rocket minifigure for $4.99. Rocket is in the red uniform the Guardians wore in the later part of the movie. The set also has a baby Groot figure, and some alternative stickers for the Milano (#76021) ship. Previously this figure was part of a ComicCon exclusive set.
I like this version of Rocket. I almost had him early. I was at a Toys R Us the other day. The bags were hanging on an end cap with a price label. But when I got up front the register wouldn’t allow the cashier to ring it. She called a manager who said they couldn’t sell it till the 16th. He said they weren’t suppose to be out yet and asked where I found it.
I made a trip today to pick it up. I went the TRU that is closer to home. They didn’t have them on the slaesfloor. Instead they were at the service desk you just have to ask. I’m guessing they kept the there to avoid theft and scalpers. I’ve already seen people posting bags of them online and reselling them. I’m ok if you pick up an extra one or two but really leave some for everybody else.
UPDATE: I checked the TRU that had stocked them early. They had them on the salefloor instead of behind the counter. Also there are some reports that some TRUs are holding them off the floor till this weekend.
TRU TMNT LEGO Promo
Toys R us does have a LEGO Polybag promo this week. Buy $30 or more of LEGO and get a free TMNT mini Shellraiser polybag (#084594). I was able to walk out with spending $30 on LEGO mainly because I couldn’t find Rocket on the floor. One I went up front and got him I didn’t return to the main store. They also have but one get one 40% on Mega Bloks ‘s, Halo, ans Call of Duty sets and the McFarland Toys Walking Dead sets.
Bricktoper Begins.
It’s bricktober at Toys R Us. Buy $75 or more of LEGO sets and get a mini modular Theater set. There are four different sets one available each week of October.
TRU May 4th build event.
This Saturday Toys R us is holding another build event. This time children can build a mini Tie-fighter and a mini X-wing. The event runs from noon to 2pm. Plus save 30% off selected LEGO Star wars sets(see below).

Desolation of Smaug
The Hobbit Desolation of Smaug is out on dvd and bluray today. Target has an exclusive Legolas Greenleaf with Accessory Kit with purchase. Be sure to look for the packaging with the mini fig on the cover.
Minion Surprise
Target also still have the Minion Surprise blind bags for $2.39. The only one i saw were in the entertainment section next to Despicable me 2 dvd which is on sale for $10 this week.
Walmart has Minion Surprise in the toy section and in the Easter section. I just wish they have a series 2 of the figs. I have all the minions.

Toys R US Bricktober event
As I mentioned earlier Toys R Us has a bricktober event this weekend. First there is a free build for Children 5 and up. Then there are free gifts with purchase of Superhero LEGO sets depending on which side of the Marvel vs DC fandom you belong to.
This set was offered as a free gift with purchase from LEGO stores in May. MY TRU was selling these for $3.99 a few days ago.
Robin appeared in a strip just this morning, in Scaring the birds, see my previous post for his big debut. I got Robin and Redbird Cycle for $4.99 just on Monday.
Tuesday is the release of the LEGO Marvel superhero game. Watch TRU ads to see if they do anything special for it. Walmart offered a Free Iron Patriot mini-fig with preorders. But you had to preorder and I don’t know if there was a cut off date.

UPDATE: My TRU is already handing out the Gauntlet polybag. They have signs in the LEGO Aisle about the promo offer. I saw a cashier get one from the service desk for customer that had a larger LEGO purchase.
